Compounding Effect of Risk Factors at Birth on Adverse Early Childhood Health, Developmental and Educational Outcomes

The purpose of this study is to identify maternal, socio-demographic, and health factors among Medicaid beneficiaries that are significantly associated with adverse health and related outcomes of their children prior to, at entry, and completion of kindergarten.

Children's Preschool and Kindergarten Special Education Outcomes for Mothers whose Delivery was or was not Funded by Medicaid

This study compared the special education outcomes of children whose mothers received or did not have Medicaid funded deliveries. The results may be used for program evaluation, and also provide evidence for advanced planning by Children's Medical Services and school districts, since Medicaid status of mother during pregnancy is associated with Medicaid status of child at school age.
