The Florida Medicaid Maternal and Child Health Status Indicators Report is an annual report produced for the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration by the Maternal Child Health and Education Research and Data Center (MCHERDC) at the University of Florida.
The report provides descriptive statistics, including five-year trends whenever available, for 26 pregnancy and infant health outcomes.
The report stratifies these statistics by Medicaid eligibility classification, race/ethnicity of beneficiaries, type of Medicaid provider, length of coverage in Medicaid, and participation in Medicaid Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs). Medicaid beneficiaries are subdivided into the following eight mutually exclusive Medicaid status/subgroup categories based on the mother's eligibility: SOBRA, Non-SOBRA, CMS High Risk OB, Medically Needy, Medicaid Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Alien, Temporarily Eligible, and In Medicaid Less Than 8 Days.
The report also provides descriptive statistics for non-Medicaid pregnant women and shows their outcomes alongside those of Medicaid beneficiaries.
